DARE actually did teach me something.

Although statistics, reports, numbers, data, etc. show that DARE was a failure, I actually thought it taught me a lot. The DARE officer kept on saying "learning about drugs can only go so far and no one except yourself can moderate what you do and don't do when it comes to drugs." Of course, I paraphrased that because it has been decades since that class back in elementary school in Arnn Elementary, in Sagamihara, Japan. I took the word "moderation" and being able to decide for myself what is right and what is wrong. Just playing devil's advocate when I can.
